With respect, that's utter rubbish whether it's from you or Kelvin McKenzie. Sports journos may have 'known' about it but you need evidence to accuse someone and write about it. The Telegraph investigations unit have the resources (and kit) to undertake that kind of operation. Constructing a piece on Harry - or whoever - being a spiv is not only a different department to the one sport journos work in, it's fraught with legal problems which only an investigations unit could satisfy/circumvent.

You're right about Custis (both of them) being a cunt though, I'll give you that.

And as editor of a major tabloid he did what exactly?
It is a bit cowardly though for these sort of pieces to be coming out now by people who knew all along.

I still want to see them though.
We could do with a few Premier league clubs to lose their managers.

Even though he's a giant thundercunt, good bit by kelvin mckenzie this morning saying the sports journalists should take some responsibility for all this. Says they've known about it for years and never written or said anything because it would ruin their cosy little relationships with managers and players.
I'm the oaf's case, that bloke cuntstis from the sun is one of his best mates, so not point pretending he doesn't know what he's like

It would be good when the 8 names are released if the Telegraph also say if they approached anyone and were told that they weren't interested as what they were suggesting was against FA rules.
If anyone did of course!

Random points

I would love it if Twitchy finally gets nailed, Odious bleeder, remember talking years ago about him and hearing that the NotW had a doorstep sized file of his activities and were itching to publish but just did not have anyone who would be prepared to do anymore than talk off record, rather than in court for fear of retribution within 'the game'.

Also, how intersting that the commonality in the those names is the old boys network, whenever a job comes up they pipe up that one of the others is a good lad and should be given a chance. Of course it goes far deeper, they have their acolytes in the media, punditry and ex player cabal of self serving, self interest - no wonder the arrogance of untouchability flowed so freely

Telegraph responds to LMA by saying it still intends to release evidence but police have asked to see it 1st & says FA/PL are aware.

Would love to see twitchys face!

hammerforever 1:10 Me, too. Though as you say, we'll probably have to settle for scraps. Maybe not a bad thing, in some ways, because the most recent stuff will probably involve us.

Really? Why isn't every manager and official on the list then in that case?

By inventing, I don't mean they are lying, I mean they are creating a situation that anyone could have fallen for (except Sir Trev).

You gobby prick.

In your first sentence you saying people are breaking the rules, in the second sentence you say they're inventing a story.

Idiot.

Re: Allardyce secretly filmed advising 'businessmen' how to get around FA rules.... Sacked
To me, all this has shown is that people will break the rules if enough money is involved. And that the Telegraph is no better than the NOTW was when it comes to inventing a story and dropping people in the shit to make sales.

hammerforever. If what the Telegraph has is enough to get the ball rolling, you'll probably see stories start popping up all over the place.

Like that Guardian article about Curtis from a day or two back. They'll have had all that information for years, along with any other paper that cared to look. But the Telegraph article gave them a bandwagon to jump on.
